How can I tell if you're lying to me?Have you ever interviewed someone for a job or as a contractor for professional services and wondered if they were telling you the truth? Whether you are hiring someone to help you with the accounting or a lawyer to help you with a legal business matter, wouldn’t it be great to be able to detect an untruth that is being told and sold to you?

Business owners, managers, employers, human resources professionals, or anyone can use simple eye movement patterns in everyday situations to determine if someone is telling the truth or to tell if they are constructing a spontaneous lie. Reporter gets Scooped! Your Health Matters.

This was a pretty incredible story about a reporter trying to get the scoop on a reknown doctor in Los Angeles and what he discovers about his own health.

We seldom think “this could happen” to me, but the plain truth is that we routinely take little consideration for our own health and well-being (aside from exercising at the gym or eating the “right” food).  Health and well-being is more than jogging and eating an organic apple… it is a overall integrated approach to our life —

  • the health of our body at a bio-molecular level (not just what we can visually see physically represented)
  • the health of our mind
  • the health of our spirit
  • the health of our intellect

Make sure it doesn’t happen to you… take responsibility for ALL OF YOU.

Vision Board 2012 – Workshop Session II

We got a good start on our vision boards in the first meeting.  Vision boards are a “kind of work” in progress.

Accordingly, I want to offer another opportunity to work on them.  Thanks and kudos to both Jeff and Tara for sharing with us their last years vision boards and talking about what they were able to manifest simply by just putting their dreams onto a posterboard.

We took video footage of both of them and will be posting it soon to my website.  Meanwhile, mark your calendar to come Tuesday night, January 17 and either start a vision board, or put some finishing touches on the one you just started.

This is a free event, donations are accepted to cover the cost of the supplies, but not required.

There will be beverages, cookies and a delicious fruit & veggie tray.

Life-Changing Principles for 2012

Core Theme:

I operate with honesty and integrity in all areas of my life, taking into consideration those I am in community with and all others around me who are affected and influenced by my actions or lack of actions; by my integrity or lack of integrity.

I take full responsibility for where I am, for where I find myself (my job, my home, my geographical location, my relationships, etc.).  I clarify what is important to me and write it down, I put a date next to anything that I want to accomplish – a trip, a new house, a new job, a change in relationship. 

I “clean up” and eliminate anything which is inconsistent with what I want to achieve.  I clean up the past – and free the present moment for creative energy. 

I create a vision for where I want to be, what I want to be doing, having and whom and what I am in relationship with.  I create a vivid picture, almost like a movie in which I see myself having all the things I choose, being exactly the way I wish to be, and feeling the exact way I wish to feel, and being in the exactly perfect relationships I choose. 

I go for my choices 100%.  I align and re-align myself to them every day. I am free to change them.

 

Core Principles:

  1. I decide/create what my life is, not anyone else. I set appropriate limits.
  2. I have complete power over my life. I have choices.
  3. I take responsibility for my life – for where and how I find myself.  I take responsibility for “who” I am “being.” I put myself in the “center” of my life. I must first have a good feeling about and relationship with myself. How I see and assess myself affects my ability to interact with and be in meaningful relationships with others on all levels.
  4. If I feel the need to “change” someone, “coach” someone, or “advise” someone I focus first on changing, coaching and advising myself.
  5. I spend my time with people who energize and support me. I limit my time with those who don’t.
  6. I listen to my gut! I don’t argue with it or ignore it.
  7. I forgive more, judge and criticize less.
  8. I give more “grace,” more often, freely with no strings attached.
  9. I build patterns and behaviors which focus and continue to refocus me on my goals and desires.
  10. I am focused and happy. I am free … I am me!

Just a reminder that tomorrow night is our vision board workshop. There are many ways to jump start your dreams, transform your life and “get” the results you desire in this new year.  Discover how you can transform your life through the creation of your personalized vision board (also known as a “dream board,” or “Life Map”).

Use the powerful and transformative vision boarding process to distill and define what it is you exactly want for your life in 2012, and by putting it “out there” in a physical way bring yourself into complete alignment with that outcome.

Henry Ford once said “What the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve”. A vision board is about solidifying in our minds our intentions for this next year and in doing so, bringing achievement within reach.

We will discuss the mindset and thought process for creating visions board that work to help you to materialize in your life those things you desire in your heart and mind.

Experienced vision-boarder or novice, come prepared to put your dreams in action, get creative, and have fun building your dreams on paper with others who share your desire for growth!

All boards, scissors, glue, etc. will be supplied. We will have magazines available, however if you have any you want to bring, please do so. Also, please come prepared with any graphics or images you have printed from internet.

We will be serving water, tea and cookies.

Bring your imagination, your dreams and desires along with $10 to cover the supplies.
